France: Anelka banned for 18 Matches

It has been reported that the French star striker Nicolas Anelka has banned for 18 games by the French Football Association. This has followed by the events of the summer fifa world cup.

Anelka was sent home from South Africa after argument with coach Raymond Domenech, French team boycotted a training session after this.

Some other played have also been banned and suspended. Patrice Evra is banned for five matches, Franck Ribery has been suspended for three and Jeremy Toulalan for one. Eric Abidal made up the five players who were the focus of the FFF disciplinary hearing on Tuesday and he escaped punishment.
