‘I don’t want any rest’, said Suarez

Suarez

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez insists that he want to play all the games for Liverpool.

Luis Suarez remained busy throughout the summer and helped his country to win Copa America but he still want to be used by his club as much as he can.

Liverpool striker only rested a week before he joined his club to begin full training at Melwood.

“I want to play in all the games I can for Liverpool,” he said in the Daily Mirror. “I don’t want any rest at all.

“Despite only having that week’s training before playing again, I’m only 24 so I felt good.

“I was glad to get back to training at Melwood as I had been missing that whole atmosphere around the training ground and wanted to get back to playing at Anfield. So it was really special for me to get back.”

Suarez is very happy to see the summer signings of Liverpool and want to help his club to retrieve their dignity.

“Bringing all the players in is very positive and I hope they can help return Liverpool to where they should be, which is aspiring to win league titles,” Suarez said.

“All the players have that same ambition. I know that after winning the Copa, I want to win things with Liverpool.

“Kenny is the one who has signed the players, but those players have all come to Liverpool with the same ambition to make the club win again.

“Nobody comes here with any airs of being better than anybody else. They come with the idea of playing in the team and making the team, the squad and the club better.”

Suarez believes that the team can carry on and display their current form for the remainder of the season.

“Overall, our start has been good,” he said. “The first half against Sunderland was superb, fantastic.

“In the second half, we tired a little bit, but, of course, that was the first game of the season and it’s always difficult playing against teams in the opening game.

“But again, I felt we looked stronger at Arsenal and played well for longer. I’m very confident that we are going to carry on reaching those standards this year.”
